Thank you for your interest in applying for support funding from the Intercultural Management Institute’s Education & Development Fund.
These scholarships are intended to cover the registration cost for the 14th Annual IMI Conference on Intercultural Relations at American University's School of International Service in Washington, D.C. on March 14th & 15th, 2013. The applicant should meet a least one of the following criteria:
-Academically registered student in good standing (must have proof of academic enrollment). -Recent college graduate with a letter of support from a former professor or current supervisor. -Working professional or volunteer with a community-based non-profit organization with supporting letter from the director or supervisor of the program or organization.
IMI is very proud to announce that Dr. Janet Bennett, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Intercultural Communication Institute, and Bryan A. Stevenson, Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative, will be giving keynote addresses at the conference.
This is also the first year that we will be using Survey Monkey as a tool for the EDF Scholarship application process. It is our hope that the utility of this platform will enable IMI to streamline this process. We appreciate your patience and feedback.
How to proceed:
Please fill in your answers and click "Next" at the bottom of each page, until you reach the "Thank You" page at the end. When you are finished, click the "My submission is now complete" button.
Survey Monkey enables you to save your work and come back to it at a later time. To do this, click "Next" at the bottom of the page and "Exit Survey." In order to resume a previous application, you will need to use the same computer. This will allow Survey Monkey to locate where you left off. When you sign on, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Previous" to make sure that your text is there, and to continue from that page. Once your application is fully completed, click "Done."
Bullets, outlines & paragraph indents are not recognized by this platform. Please separate information into paragraphs.
In addition, to your submitted application, you will need to submit the following items to email@example.com:
(1) a one-page resume, including at least two references, and (2) a letter of support or proof of academic enrollment (as listed above)
*Applications missing these items will be considered incomplete.
All applications are due by January 25, 2013. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Mary Margaret Herman, the Conference Coordinator, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone at 202-885-6434.
