Since 2018 Klein Curaçao has been a Ramsar site, a protected wetland of international importance. In 2023 the Government of Curaçao received  funding from the European Union through the Resilience, Renewable Energy and Marine Biodiversity (RESEMBID) Programme.
 
Our project “Development Plan for Ramsar Wetland of International Importance #2355: Klein Curaçao” is studying and implementing the 'wise use' of the island of Klein Curaçao. To do this we will calculate the carrying capacity of Klein Curaçao, your experience can contribute to this.
