Welcome! Thank you for participating in our study.

This research is being conducted to better understand the struggles that women face with regards to eating attitudes, behaviors, body image, and appearance. If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete surveys that cover questions related to these topics. The surveys should take no longer than one hour to complete.

The foreseeable risks or discomforts include the potential to cause you to experience emotional discomfort or emotional distress when completing the surveys. You do not have to answer any questions that you do not want to. If any questions or concerns do arise for you, you are encouraged to email Dr. Talleyrand at rtalleyr@gmu.edu. Participants can also contact the Counseling and Psychological Services office at George Mason University at (703) 993-2380.

There are no direct benefits to you for participating. Your participation may help further research in the struggles with eating attitudes, behaviors, body image, and appearance among women between the ages of 18 and 25. We hope that in the future, other people might benefit from this study through improved understanding of how these struggles affect women.
