Nomination Criteria:
Must be an FCC Member Agency to submit nominations
Nominee must be an active part of your System of Care (does not have to be an active FCC member).
Winners since 2019 are not eligible for nomination
The Award Recipient agrees to be present at the Florida Coalition for Children Annual Conference
The Member Agency whose Nominee is selected as an Award Recipient agrees to provide transportation and any lodging expenses for the Recipient(s)
Nominee must have a supervisory endorsement or character reference (where applicable)
The Nominator will provide a narrative describing the Nominee's achievements and explaining why they should receive the award in 500 words or less

Champion for Children Award
This award is granted to an exceptional individual who is widely recognized for their many accomplishments and relentless quest to move mountains as a champion and advocate for children.
Impact and Innovation Award
This award recognizes an organization that is making a meaningful and lasting impact on the well-being of children, youth, and families through leadership, innovation, and collaboration. Honorees are changemakers who bring people together across sectors, elevate new and effective approaches, and demonstrate a deep commitment to nurturing and improving the lives of those they serve. Their work reflects both visionary thinking and compassionate action, resulting in measurable and lasting outcomes.
Foster/Adoptive Parent of the Year Award
This award is granted to an individual or a couple who has provided more than just a healthy and safe place to live, but a friend and advocate to children in need.
Parent with Lived Experience Leadership Award
This award is given to the parent with lived experience in the child welfare system who has risen above and overcome life’s challenges. This individual is recognized for their personal growth, leadership, influence, and impact.
Relative/Nonrelative Caregiver Award
This award is given to the caregiver whose love and kindness for the children in their care has made a lasting and meaningful difference in their lives
Youth/Young Adult Leadership Award
This award is granted to a youth or young adult who exemplifies resilience, leadership, personal accomplishment, achievement, and the determination to make a lasting and meaningful difference in service to their peers.
