Ageism survey

Have your say on ageism

Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland wants to better understand how people experience ageism in Queensland. We want to hear about your experiences, the assumptions people may make because of age, the language used around ageing, and what respectful attitudes towards people of all ages look like to you. Your experiences and perspectives matter. By hearing directly from Queenslanders, we can better understand where ageism occurs and what needs to change. What you tell us will help inform COTA Queensland's work on ageism, including our advocacy, resources and community awareness activities in 2027.

About the survey
Time to complete: Approximately 15–30 minutes.
Closing date: Monday 18th January 2027.
Who can participate: Queenslanders of all ages.
Participation: Voluntary. You can skip questions you don't want to answer.
For any questions about the survey or if you experience any issues completing it, please email communications@cotaqld.org.au.

Your privacy
We don't ask for your name, email address or phone number.
We do ask some optional questions about you, including your age group, gender, cultural background, state and postcode. These help us understand whose experiences we're hearing and whether experiences differ across communities.

At the end of the survey, you can choose whether COTA Queensland can use your written responses as anonymous quotes in our ageism campaign. Please don't include names or other information that could identify you or another person in your written responses.
