A Survey of Training Programs offered by Organizations, State DOTs & University Centers
Easterseals Project Action Consulting is partnering with the West Region Transportation Workforce Center (WRTWC) at Montana State University to develop a compendium of training providers, resources, and curricula focused on accessible transportation. The compendium will be available on the WRTWC website and will list the type of accessible transportation training programs and courses available at the national and state levels. The goal of this effort is to improve access to information, quality training, and other resources that address the unique challenges faced by small urban and rural transit providers to ensure a barrier-free mobility environment for all users.
We would like to hear from you about the resources, courses, and training offered by your organization or state. Training program examples include, but are not limited to, those on passenger securement, ADA compliance, customer service for specialized populations, scheduling policies and procedures, and travel training. Survey responses are requested by October 4.
Answer the following questions as they relate to transit training offered by your organization or state. Training may be related to public or private transportation and may apply to both the internal and external (open to public) audiences. For the purposes of this survey, training includes in-person courses and workshops, webinars, and distance learning.
