Question Title

* 1. School readiness: Focus on enhancing quality early childhood education for children 0-5 in high need areas and commit to ensuring children have the resources needed to be successful in school.

Examples:

· Preschool enrollment funded by the State and The CHOICE Grant Program

· Engaging outdoor reading programs that promote early literacy

·  Parenting classes that model improved emotional and social behaviors

Question Title

* 2. School Engagement and Truancy Prevention: Continue collaborating with school districts to support policies and programs that encourage youth to be engaged in and remain in school.

Examples:

· Parenting classes for recently immigrated parents with at-promise youth.

· Counseling services for youth and families.

· 1:1 tutoring session.

· Leadership development and peer to peer education.

· Environmental education for children.

* 3. Street Outreach & Mediation: Focus programming in areas with higher occurrences of violence, emphasizing the need for equitable resources to support our youth and families.

Examples:

· Bilingual counseling, parent education and trauma recovery for youth and their families.

· Diversion and intervention services for justice involved at-promise youth; case management and training workshops.

· Increases family connectedness through The Partnership programs.

· Supports The Partnership's outreach team to engage with youth, connect with services and opportunities for youth to reach full potential.

* 4. Workforce Development Initiatives: Support the development of work readiness opportunities for Santa Rosa youth. (Focuses on ages 14-24)
Examples:

· Set-up youth with work readiness programs.

· Provide opportunities for career exploration with The Partnership’s community partners.

· Partner with organizations to provide youth with relevant job trainings and skills needed in the workforce.
