Terms and Conditions
The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) What Behavior Analysis Looks Like Photo Contest begins November 12, 2018, and ends December 10, 2018, at 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time. By submitting an entry, contestants agree to the rules of the contest and state that they are 18 or older.
What to Enter
Please make sure your submissions do not violate HIPAA laws—all entries that potentially violate HIPAA laws will be rejected. The four contest categories are as follows:
1. Research: Includes examples of scientific processes and endeavors, including but not limited to laboratories, experiment materials, and test subjects.
2. Practice: Includes examples of best practices and effective applications of behavior analytic principles, behavior analysts in professional settings, and more.
3. Education: Examples of efforts to recruit, train, and professionally develop behavior analysts. Can include shots from workshops, classrooms, or other training sessions or capture efforts to educate the public about behavior analysis.
4. Other: Any photos that do not fit cleanly into one of the categories above can include “what behavior analysts do,” “what behavior analysis means to me,” or “the future of behavior analysis.” Behavior analysis-inspired artwork is also acceptable.
Photos that violate or infringe on another person's rights, including but not limited to copyright, are ineligible.
Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent, or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by ABAI in its sole discretion, are ineligible for all categories.
How to Enter
Please submit photographs and requested information through this SurveyMonkey page. You may submit an unlimited number of photographs per category but cannot win in multiple categories (due to SurveyMonkey limitations, entrants can submit 20 photos maximum at a time, but multiple entries are permitted). To be displayed on our website without stretching or distortion, each photograph must be submitted in PDF, DOC, DOCX, PNG, JPG, JPEG, or GIF format, edited for web in sRGB color space, at least 300 DPI in resolution, and no larger than 16 MB.
Prizes
Eight prizes will be awarded, as follows:
Category Winners: The winner in each category will receive a $50 online gift card.
Category Runners-Up: The runner-up in each category will receive a $25 online gift card.
One prize per person. Winners must sign a release and license, as well as a declaration of eligibility, and will be responsible for paying any notary public fees or taxes owed.
