This Research Forum will provide an understanding of Supported Education (SEd) which is a relatively new addition to the toolkit for supporting people in their recovery with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Similar to the way that supported employment (SE) assists individuals in obtaining and keeping desired jobs, SEd engages resources in secondary and post-secondary learning settings. In many ways SEd can be seen as an extension of school-based mental health services. This forum will focus on defining SEd and give an opportunity for practitioners to have an open dialog for what SEd will look like in Colorado's future.
