BEST Center 2016 Workshop Application - Building Automation Systems V

Thank you for your interest in the National Science Foundation - BEST Center Workshop on Building Automation Systems!

The workshop will be held on June 8-11, 2016 in Clarkston, GA (near Atlanta), at GA Piedmont Technical College.

In this workshop, you will learn more about Building Automation and Controls course design and how to infuse Building Automation curriculum into your existing HVAC, Environmental Controls, or building performance programs. BAS V will cover:

- reinforcement of learning outcomes via hands-on activities
- setting up an instructional lab to support a BAS program
- overview and tour of GPTC's BAS and new commercial HVAC labs
- key lab exercises, equipment and software

If selected as a participant, you will develop your own work plan during the workshop and commit to begin implementation of the work plan upon return to your college. Priority will be given to applicants whose colleges are actively developing commercial BAS content within their curricula.

Travel, meals, and lodging will be covered by the BEST Center.

To apply, please fill out this application only if the workshop is a priority for your program's development. Provide as much thorough info as possible so that we can learn more about your interest in this field.

NOTE: If you have attended a previous BAS workshop, you may answer questions 1 & 2 at a minimum, and fill out the Applicant's Confirmation. In addition, we would appreciate any updates about your program and the use of BEST's workshop materials.
