REMUNERATION PRACTICE SURVEY

This survey has been developed for BEDA – The Bureau of European Design Associations – to map the various levels of engagement in and practices undertaken by local, regional and national professional designers’ communities across Europe with regard to remuneration levels, structures and standards. This action aims to build the capacity of BEDA’s members and is therefore framed within the GA+ work stream of the ‘Design Europe 2021’ project, co-funded with the support of the European Union.

As European antitrust legislation has made it increasingly challenging to map and publish  actual levels of remuneration through statistical methods, as well as rendering advice on how to calculate fees, this survey will focus on the mechanisms still in use and the barriers posed by aforementioned legislation. Moreover, some questions will relate to average fee levels as assessed by the respondent – relative to his or her own assessment of the fee levels of other, specified business services.

The survey will be conducted discretely, and no information will be published with direct reference to individuals or organisations. However, for the purpose of being able to relate the information provided to national cost and purchasing power levels – as well as to being able to follow up on particularly interesting information, the survey will not be conducted anonymously.

Completing the survey will not take more than 10 minutes.
