As you know, the NCHA cancelled the 2022 Western Nationals due to lack of entries.  Since the show was cancelled, the NCHA authorized that the added money allocated to the Western Nationals for 2022 be distributed to each of the producers of 2022 NCHA Days shows.

The NCHA collects $3 from every entry in NCHA approved shows. $1 is allocated for the World Finals, $1 is allocated for the Eastern Nationals and $1 for the Western Nationals. The NCHA Executive Committee authorized that for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024 the Eastern and Western Nationals would each be provided $20,000 added money for each of the 12 approved classes, except for the Junior and Senior Youth, a total of $200,000 added money for each of the two National shows.

Because of disappointment with the cancellation of the Western Nationals, the NCHA has appointed a task force, chaired by Region 2 Executive Committee Member Rock Hedlund, to consider the possibility of moving forward with some type of event that would appeal to more cutters to replace or rejuvenate the current Western Nationals concept.  The task force has prepared a short survey to initially gain member sentiment, information and input going forward. Please complete the attached survey of 5 questions to assist the task force in evaluating steps going forward.
