Background and Map of Study Area

The Study Area includes Bank Street from the Queensway south to the Bank Street bridge.  It also includes portions of Isabella St. and Chamberlain Ave. on either side of Bank Street.

Key elements of existing height & character policy relevant to Bank Street:
 
  • Zoning by-laws that allow for building heights of up to 4 storeys in the majority of the Study Area,
  • Official Plan policy that allows for up to 6 storeys on Traditional Mainstreets, and consideration of higher buildings on Traditional Mainstreets when certain conditions are met.
