MOSQUITO AWARENESS SURVEY

Please take the time to share with us your answers regarding your awareness and concerns about mosquitoes where you live and work. Mosquitoes are vectors - arthropods capable of transmitting arboviral diseases to humans and animals. The arbovirus (arthropod-borne-virus) of greatest concern in Brazos County is West Nile Virus (WNV). This survey is intended to measure local public awareness and knowledge about West Nile virus, mosquito bite prevention and breeding habitat source reduction techniques, obtain information from local residents about mosquito abundance at their homes, and measure support for biological and chemical mosquito control methods use in our neighborhoods.
