To promote the Metropolitan Affairs Coalition’s mission of regional cooperation and honor the late Detroit Free Press Editor and Publisher Neal Shine’s legacy of commitment to the greater Detroit community, our two organizations partnered to create the Shining Light Regional Cooperation Awards. The awards program puts young, unsung, and accomplished leaders in the spotlight for their community involvement, regional impact, and promotion of collaboration, progress, and understanding in Southeast Michigan.

5.Logo Usage Guidelines

Please send logos to malmer@semcog.org no later than August 1, 2026.
In order to ensure high quality appearance of all logos, preference for logo files are as follows:

1. svg, Ai, or Photoshop file
2. If there is not an original design file, please send a high-resolution image
3. If possible, send an inverse or alternate color option to ensure contrast with different backgrounds
