Brown County Early Learning Center Scholarship Application

The Tracy Family Foundation contributes more than $300,000 annually to the Brown County Early Learning Center to keep tuition rates lower than the rates of centers in neighboring communities. The foundation's goal is to help the YMCA offer exceptional early learning in Brown County so that students are best prepared for Kindergarten. In addition, the Tracy Family Foundation makes scholarship funds available for families that need tuition assistance.

Scholarships are awarded in the form of a tuition discount in the amount of $5-$30 per week based on need. Scholarships are limited due to the availiability of funds and each scholarship recipient will need to reapply each calendar year. Scholarship decisions are made by the YMCA and its Scholarship Review Committee.

Families eligible for assistance through the Illinois Child Care Assistance Program are not eligible for the Brown County Early Learning Center Scholarship.
