The Ballarat Cricket Hall of Fame commemorates Ballarat Cricket Association past and present players, officials, umpires, volunteers and major contributors to cricket in the Ballarat region.

The Hall of Fame was introduced by the BCA Board in 2015 to honour Ballarat’s legendary cricketers and contributors. New members may be inducted every year at the BCA Awards Night or an appropriate event selected by the BCA Board at the time.

Criteria for induction to the BCA Hall of Fame
The following criteria are referred to for induction into the hall of fame:

·         A player must be considered as generally retired from the game for at least 12 months

·         Based on more than just statistics or years of service

·         The person must have impacted the way in which the game is played or officiated/administrated or coached/supported.

·         Should have either played/officiated/administered or coached/supported or reported at least a minimum of 50 (approx 5 years) officially sanctioned BCA matches/games or made at least a thousand runs or taken at least 75 wickets

·         Candidates must be over the age of 18 years

·         In addition to a Nominee's individual achievements, that person's integrity, sportsmanship and character will be considered

·         Any person or organisation may make nominations annually to the BCA for consideration for consideration by the Selection Committee

·         Nominations are/can be submitted annually. Nominees shall not be considered until after a 12 month waiting period. Any nomination which has been previously submitted, but not selected may be reconsidered by the Selection Committee
