2026 Poverty Matters Conference Workshop Proposals

WISCAP is releasing this Request for Proposals for the 2026 Poverty Matters Conference. The Poverty Matters Conference will take place Tuesday, October 27 and Wednesday, October 28 at the Holiday Inn Stevens Point Convention Center.

All proposals should be submitted by close-of-business Friday, April 24, 2026. Questions can be directed to Tom Behnke at tbehnke@wiscap.org. Sessions typically run about 75 minutes (60 minute presentation with 10-15 minutes for questions). Incomplete proposals will not be considered.

As Wisconsin’s only statewide conference, the Poverty Matters Conference serves as a regional platform to raise awareness on issues impacting low-income families. For over 40 years, this conference has served as a major convening of state and federal agencies, community action agencies, individuals, and stakeholders dedicated to identifying common sense solutions and approaches to address and eliminate poverty.
