The purpose of this survey is to accompany the listening sessions being held at the end of August. The information gathered from the listening sessions, along with the survey results will help inform the Parish Family Advisory Council in the creation of the One Parish Plan, a strategic plan for our combined parish family of St. Mark and St. Matthew.
The Parish Family Advisory Committee and St. Matthew Finance Council recently shared with St. Matthew parishioners the impact of parish financial deficits and the exhausting of financial reserves. Their recommendations are as follows:
- Consolidate Masses and operations to the St. Mark campus in the first half of 2027.
- Earnestly look at cost savings.
- Actively seek to lease the entire St. Matthew campus to a Catholic entity using a real estate committee and Archdiocesan experts.
- Continue to engage parishioners in the development of the One Parish Plan that envisions a new future for our combined parish family.
If adopted by the Pastor, the result would be all Masses would be discontinued at St. Matthew sometime in the first half of 2027.

We will use the listening sessions at the end of August to help answer questions as well as begin to understand the challenges and opportunities facing our parish family going forward.
