Message from the Pastor Quann
As I pen these words, I am reminded of the scripture from the prophet Isaiah 43:19:” For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” These words ring out with truth that God is doing something new at Bethlehem. We have been given the opportunity to purchase a home with nearly four acres of land. It is indeed a step of faith, the same way those nineteen founders stepped out and founded Bethlehem over 130 years ago. We have the same opportunity to enlarge the life of Bethlehem for years to come.
In order for that to happen, we need every member of Bethlehem to pray and make a sacrificial offering so we may have sufficient funds for a down payment. Our goal is to raise $100,000 dollars. Reverend Dr. Alyn E. Waller of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church has committed on behalf of his congregation, $20,000. Pastor and Lady Quann have planned to give $10,000. We have had several worshippers make gifts in varying amounts of $100 or more: not equal giving but equal sacrifice.
I am asking today that you make a pledge to be received by Sunday, October 24th, when we will celebrate our church anniversary. This indeed is a historic moment in the life of our congregation.
