MMA Volunteer Opportunities

The Medfield Music Association supports the school's music program by funding special activities or initiatives that enhance or supplement students' learning experiences. Funding comes from a variety of sources, including these primary fundraising initiatives: wreath sale, Spaghetti with Santa, and Jazz Night. Concert concessions also help to bring in funds.

To achieve success, volunteers are needed at every level and we hope you'll get involved this year! Just use this online tool to let us know the volunteer opportunities that most interest you. Your donation of time to the MMA is much appreciated!

Uniform volunteer (helps measure students for uniforms and collects payments; fall)

Cocoa server at football games (helps to serve band members at home games only)

Wreath delivery driver (fulfills Medfield wreath orders; about 1.5 hours; usually Sat. after Thanksgiving)

Concert concessions purchaser (shops for treats to be sold at Dec., March and May concerts; purchased items are reimbursable)

Concessions volunteer (sells treats before Dale, Blake and MHS concerts)

Baker (provides bake goods for various events or concerts during the year)

Patron list copier (copies patron list before each concert)

MICCA festival chaperone (accompanies and supervises students on trip in spring)

Year-end Music Banquet organizer (for music students and families; May)

Coordinator (spearheads Jazz Night ticket sales and fundraising efforts; manages all event volunteers)

Publicity coordinator (sends out Jazz Night press releases to local papers and e-newsletters; takes care of Thursday packet submissions)

Student/clinician dinner host (hosts dinner before Jazz Night concert; can be potluck)

Sales helper (sells Jazz Night tickets, CDs, posters, concessions, etc.)

Reception organizer (puts together a post-performance reception for Jazz Night participants)

-- new or gently used concert attire and shoes
-- used musical instruments of good quality
