MaineCare Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC)
Member Application

Help Shape the Future of MaineCare!

The MaineCare Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) gives MaineCare members and family caregivers a direct voice in how MaineCare works.

BAC members share their experiences, ideas, and concerns with MaineCare staff and help identify ways to make MaineCare better for the people who use it.

We want to hear from you. Your experience matters.

You do not need to know everything about MaineCare or have a history of serving on a committee. We are looking for people who are willing to share their experiences, listen to others, work as a team, and help make a difference.

BAC members meet bimonthly (six times each year) and receive a $100 stipend for each 2-hour meeting they attend. The stipend won’t be considered as income if you are receiving benefits from Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

In addition to regular meetings, BAC staff will have periodic one-on-one check-ins with BAC staff. These conversations give members an opportunity to share feedback, ask questions, discuss any challenges with participation, and talk about issues they would like the BAC to address.
