Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) Application

Alabama Medicaid is seeking current or past Medicaid recipients, as well as individuals with direct experience supporting Medicaid recipients (such as family members and caregivers, both paid and unpaid), to join the Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC).

Council Member Responsibilities:
  1. Share their experiences with Alabama Medicaid to help shape Medicaid policy and services.
  2. Suggest agenda items.
  3. Commit to serving as an active council member for 1-3 years.
  4. Participate in quarterly meetings.

MAC Overview: The purpose of the MAC is to provide guidance and recommendations to Alabama Medicaid on various aspects of the Medicaid program. While the BAC is specifically focused on Medicaid recipient experiences and feedback, the MAC has a broader advisory role and includes a wider range of stakeholders. The MAC meets quarterly and at different times from the BAC.
