Credit River Watershed Plan - We want your input
Planning for your future
Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is developing a plan for the Credit River Watershed. (A watershed is simply defined as an area of land that drains surface water and groundwater into a river or stream.)
The Watershed Plan will use the latest science and input from local residents, businesses, and community groups to inform how we protect and restore the local environment and build our communities. To learn more about the Watershed Plan, watch this short, animated video.
If you live, work, attend school, or play in the Credit River Watershed, we want your input.

In particular, CVC wants to hear from youth of the Credit River Watershed. Youth voices are often underrepresented or unheard in these important decision-making processes. We want to ensure that you have a say in shaping the watershed you will inherit in the future.

We wish to thank youth volunteers from CVC's Frontline Steering Committee who provided input into the development of this survey.
The Credit River Watershed
Situated within one of the most-densely populated regions of Canada, the Credit River Watershed contains some of the most diverse landscapes in southern Ontario. The Credit River is almost 90 km long and meanders southeast from its headwaters in Orangeville, Erin and Mono, through nine municipalities, eventually draining into Lake Ontario at Port Credit in Mississauga.
