CHEROKEE COUNTY HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN (HMP) UPDATE PUBLIC SURVEY
Cherokee County is partnering with the Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments (TARCOG) to update the county's hazard mitigation plan. The planning process requires public involvement to assist stakeholders as they identify, plan for, and mitigate risk and vulnerability to natural disasters.
Essential to this process is the knowledge of our citizens regarding potential hazards and techniques to reduce risk and loss from hazards. Providing information regarding your area's vulnerability to one or more hazards is also important. The collected data will aid the Cherokee County Hazard Mitigation Plan Steering Committee in reducing the effects of hazards such as floods, tornadoes, and severe storms on life and property.
Thank you for your time and participation in this important process!
