This survey mainly concentrates on understanding how energy can be saved in daily electricity usage. It aims to create awareness among users about the amount of electrical units consumed, the money spent on electricity bills and the time periods when energy conservation is the most effective. By analyzing daily usage patterns, the survey helps individuals identify areas of excessive consumption and adopt simple energy-saving practices. Overall, the survey encourages responsible electricity use, cost reduction, and efficient energy management in everyday life. This study is initiated under the IGEN SDG Research Project initiative of The Institution of Green Engineers (IGEN), reflecting its mission to advance evidence-based sustainability action. The survey seeks to understand how sustainability awareness influences energy-conservation behaviour, how such awareness translates into the adoption and sustained use of energy-efficient technologies without compromising comfort, and how positive attitudes toward renewable energy encourage the adoption of rooftop solar and other home-based renewable energy systems. The outcomes of this survey will serve as the foundation for proposing a new Home Energy Triangle framework for residential energy use, offering a structured, scalable, and SDG-aligned model to guide policy development, community interventions, and future household energy planning in support of sustainable and climate-resilient living.
