Agency Person of the Year - This award is given to a person that works for an agency member of IIAB San Diego. They will be recognized for their years of service, dedication and commitment to the Association, the insurance industry and their fellow insurance brokers and agents of San Diego.

Associate Member of the Year - This award is given to a person that works for a company that is an associate member of IIAB San Diego. They will be recognized for their years of service, dedication and commitment to the Association, the insurance industry and their fellow insurance brokers and agents of San Diego.

Emerging Leader of the Year - This award is given to a a person that shows skills to be an upcoming leader that works for an agency or a company that is a member of IIAB San Diego. They will be recognized for their years of service, dedication and commitment to the Association, the insurance industry and their fellow insurance brokers and agents of San Diego.

Insurance Company Professional of the Year - This award is given to a person that works for an insurance company that is a member of IIAB San Diego. They will be recognized for their years of service, dedication and commitment to the Association, the insurance industry and their fellow insurance brokers and agents of San Diego.

Andrew H Ekern Award - This award was established in 1965 when a local independent insurance agent, Andrew H. Ekern, became concerned about citizen apathy and its direct influence on the rapid increase in crime in this nation. The Stamp Out Crime crusade resulting from his efforts has spread to many California communities, to neighboring states, and to cities across the United States. This award is given as merited by your Association to an outstanding insurance agent who has contributed his time and talent to the community and industry.

Bob Captain Memorial Award - This award was established in 2024 in memory of Robert Captain, a long time member, I-Day committee member, and friend to all. He spent his career in insurance and mentored everyone he worked with. He also spent many years teaching insurance classes at Grossmont Community College. Each year, he would mentor the students in his class to help see their own potential. This award is given as merited by your Association to an outstanding insurance person who has contributed his time and talent mentoring those in the community and industry.
