Introduction:
Thank you for your interest in applying for the AOPO IMPACT (Improvement in Action) Improvement Program. The goal of this program is to provide guidance and share successful practices with OPO’s as AOPO engages with our community to increase organ donation and transplantation. The IMPACT program has defined key areas and measures that directly impact the donation process focused on outcomes and a continuous system of improvement.

The program is divided into 3 distinct phases designed to Discover how an OPO is performing, looking at key processes that impact performance , provide an Advisory role by recommending strategies for improvement and sharing successful practices, and lastly, provide guidance to the OPO to Implement and Monitor the outcomes of the proposed strategies and practices.

The program will only be accepting a certain number of applicants for 2024 based upon the capacity of the committee, estimated to be 5 - 7. Once your application is received, it will be evaluated by the IMPACT Committee and AOPO Board of Directors.

Please see our Frequently Asked Questions sheet for more information. If you have any questions, please reach out to Denise Sears.
