Hate Crimes Hotline Community Survey

Introduction
The Washington State Attorney General’s Office has launched a pilot phase of the Hate Crimes & Bias Incidents Hotline, which began in July 2025 in three counties: King, Clark and Spokane. The Hotline will expand to become a statewide resource by January 1, 2027.

The Hotline is designed to:
  1. Provide trauma-informed referrals to victim-centered, culturally competent service providers.
  2. Collect data on hate crimes and bias incidents across Washington State, to be shared in annual public reports beginning in 2027.
The Hotline only contacts or shares information with law enforcement with the caller’s express consent.

To make sure this resource works for your community, we want to hear directly from you. Your responses will remain anonymous and will help us understand community awareness, comfort with reporting, satisfaction, and trust.
