The Irish Junior Tour incorporates a tour of junior surfing contests, including U14 Girls & Boys Surf, U16 Girls & Boys Surf, U18 Girls & Boys Surf and U18 Boys & Girls Longboard. We are making some changes to the 2023 Tour and would value your opinion.

* 4. We are planning to increase the number of events to 7.

* 5. To be more inclusive we plan a better geographic spread with one event in Antrim, Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Clare, Kerry & Waterford.

* 6. A new system using Red (Storm/Flat), Amber (Maringal but could be surf), Green call (Surf) will be introduced. Events will only be called off on a Red Call.

* 9. We are proposing that each competing club provides two volunteers for the event management team to support hosting the tour.

* 10. In 2019, we agreed to open the  Irish Junior Tour to non-nationals permanently living in Ireland and run a separate event to crown Irish National Junior Boys and Girls Champions. This was put on hold due to Covid 19. While the 2022 Tour was open to non- nationals, we did not run a separate Irish Junior Championships but do hope to include it on the 2023 Calendar.

The Irish National Junior Championships will be a stand alone event that we will aim to run on a good quality wave, open to surfers over 12 and under 18, Irish Passport holder or British Passport holder born in Northern Ireland and will crown the Irish Junior Boys and Irish Junior Girls Champions. The Irish Junior Tour of 7 events will crown Irish Junior Tour Champions in various divisions.
