CityHousing Hamilton/SPRC Artist Space Needs Survey

The Social Planning and Research Council is working with CityHousing Hamilton to determine what needs artists in the community have with regards to housing and studio space. This survey is designed to collect data and information to help inform the development of an artist live/work space in Hamilton.
1.Do you currently rent studio space in Hamilton?
2.What is the price that you pay for your housing (indicate whether answer is per month or per square foot)?
3.What amenities are currently included in your rent?
4.If you don’t currently rent, would you consider renting studio space in the downtown core?
5.Would you consider renting and sharing a studio space with another artist?
6.How many square feet of studio space would you need?
7.Are there specific studio needs that you have for production? Please provide details.
8.What are the current limitations that you have that prevent you from renting space (if answered “no” to number one above)?
9.Would you need retail space as well as production space?
10.Would you consider contributing sweat equity to running a retail or commercial space (i.e. contribute time to the management of a retail space)?
11.Would you consider live/work space to be important for you?
12.Any other comments that you’d like to share about renting studio space in Hamilton?
