The objectives for this session were: 
1. Identify appropriate screening tools for alcohol use disorder in the primary care setting.
2. Apply diagnostic criteria from the DSM-5 for alcohol misuse to patients in primary care.
3. Explore use of Screening and Brief Intervention (SBI) for the patient with alcohol misuse.
4. Assess for and manage alcohol withdrawal syndrome in the primary care setting.
5. Identify indications for referral to specialty or inpatient treatment and community resources for management of alcohol misuse. 

All of the identified objectives were met satisfactorily.(Required.)
