Have your say on the Bunny Street and Brooklyn Connections proposed changes
Wellington City Council is seeking feedback on two proposed transport connection projects: The Bunny Street Connection and Brooklyn Connection proposals aim to make it safer, easier and more accessible for people to walk, ride, scoot, bus and drive around the city together.
Bunny Street Connection
Wellington City Council is working on a missing link to better connect the route from the north, making it safer and easier for people walking, scooting and cycling to move between Thorndon Quay and the northern end of Lady Elizabeth Lane. The proposed changes will complete a connection from the new Thorndon Quay cycleway and provide a more direct, comfortable, and safer option for people arriving from or heading towards the Hutt Valley, the waterfront, and central city destinations. The improvements will also improve the pedestrian experience around Wellington Train Station – one of Wellington’s busiest entry points to the city.

Brooklyn Connection
Wellington City Council is aiming to improve safety and accessibility along the Brooklyn Road and Ohiro Road route for people walking, cycling, using public transport and driving. The proposal includes changes to cycleway infrastructure, pedestrian crossings and accessibility improvements, bus stop locations and layout and kerbside use, including parking changes.
