2020 saw the deferment of the annual RWNZ Conference because of the impact of Covid 19 globally. It’s now time for us to decide the fate of the RWNZ2021 conference. We’ve determined it’s not viable to go forward with conference planning as originally envisaged (and our conference venue is likely to remain a border facility for some time), but we have two options that we can get excited about.

This is your organisation and your conference, so the Exec and the Dream Team want to hear from you. Which of these would you like to see for a 2021 conference? Please answer three quick questions.

Question Title

* 1. What form would you prefer the 2021 conference to take:

2022 Conference: The 2021 conference to be deferred again to 2022, where vaccines may make international travel and gatherings possible again.

The Dream Team to put on a smaller, 2-day, 1-night “Local Flavour” Conference. This would be held the weekend of 7-8th August (likely in Auckland) with a lineup of local NZ speakers and workshop presenters, with a sit-down dinner in the evening. It would only go ahead if the host city was in Level 1 and we could provide a COVID-19 safety plan/precautions.

(Please note that we’ve considered a digital conference, but have decided not to go down this route because of cost, resources, and the volume of awesome free and paid content already available online.)

Heck yes!

No.

I'd like to, but because of COVID-19 concerns, I won't be able to decide until the last minute.
