BIRMINGHAM'S EARLY MIDDLE EASTERN COMMUNITY

We appreciate your interest in Alabama Humanities Alliance's SUPER Program. Please complete the following application to be considered for participation in our September 30, 2023 workshop, a look at the early Middle Eastern community in Birmingham and central Alabama. Offered in partnership with Vulcan Park and Museum, the workshop will draw partly on the story told in Vulcan's current exhibition of the same title.

This half-day workshop will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 (8:30am - 12:00pm) at Vulcan Park and Museum in Birmingham. This workshop is open to the public. Dr. Annie DeVries of Samford University will serve as lead scholar. Refreshments will be served. Participating educators will also receive materials and resources and 3 professional development credits.
