Application deadline: December 15, 2026.
The Umoja International Student Fellowship Program (ISFP) provides selected Umoja students with up to $5,000 in fellowship support to participate in an approved, credit-bearing study abroad or global learning experience.
The fellowship is designed to expand students' global perspectives, support academic and personal growth, strengthen leadership development, and provide meaningful opportunities for students to engage with cultures, histories, communities, and perspectives beyond their home communities.
For the 2027 fellowship cycle, UCEF has identified a range of Summer and Fall study abroad and global learning opportunities offered through participating and prospective California community college partners. Applicants will have an opportunity to indicate their preferred programs as part of this application.
Please complete all required sections carefully. Applicants should be prepared to upload a current unofficial college transcript and a completed 2027 ISFP Recommendation Form.
Receiving a fellowship does not automatically guarantee admission to a specific study abroad program. Selected fellows may also need to apply, enroll, or cross-enroll at the California community college administering their approved study abroad program.
