Introduction

The West Virginia Department of Education Special Education Services thanks you for attending our stakeholder meeting.

The US Department of Education Office of Special Education (OSEP) developed multiple indicators to help states measure and report on their efforts to educate students with disabilities. Every year, states report their performance on each indicator and their plan to make progress in the State Performance Plan and Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR).

Each indicator is either a results indicator or a compliance indicator. Results indicators have targets set by the state with input from stakeholders. Compliance indicators have targets of 0 percent or 100 percent set by OSEP.

Today, we are asking for your assistance in setting targets for Federal Fiscal Years (FFY) 2020-2025 for the following indicators:

6.    Education Environments - Preschool Age - Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)

7.    Preschool Outcomes

15.   Resolution Sessions

16.    Mediation
