Introduction
Hedland Senior High School (HSHS) has recently embarked on a brand refresh for the school. As part of this brand refresh, the school is committed to supporting local artists. To demonstrate this commitment, the school is seeking to procure an artwork that can be used for secondary branding across the school collateral.
As part of the rebrand, HSHS seeks to recognise the significant contributions of Aboriginal people in the region. The school is looking to partner with a local Aboriginal artist to develop an artwork that will be used throughout various marketing collateral for the school, including but not limited to the school website, school uniform, and communication collateral.
Artists Brief for HSHS branding project:
· The artwork should complement the school’s branding – please see our new school website for reference.
· Where possible, artwork to be reflective of HSHS and its community.
· The artwork will be supplied by the artist in its original format and will also be digitised for use across the school’s website and marketing materials.
· Written permission is required to adapt the artwork to digital format outlining any limitations on its use.
· Elements of the artwork will be taken and used throughout various pieces of marketing collateral for the school.
· Artwork to be landscape layout and be suitable for hanging in the HSHS offices, as well as digitised for online format.
· It is preferred that the artist is a resident of Hedland or has a strong connection to Hedland.
· We ask that you provide two examples of previous work and describe the artwork you are proposing for this project.

Deliverables
The successful artist will be required to:
· Project manage the delivery of the artwork including coordinating and paying any subcontractors.
· Deliver the artwork stretched on canvas, ready to be hung at the HSHS administration building, size to be negotiated.
· Provide written permission to use the artwork, and elements of the artwork in digital and printed format across a range of collateral for HSHS.
· Provide digital version of artwork. Digital specification: Hi-resolution Minimum 300PPI and minimum 2000 pixels in width.
· Provide artist biography.
· Provide artwork story – a statement and/or story describing the artwork.
Budget
The overall budget for the artwork is $3000 incl GST. This includes the production of the artwork, stretching of the artwork, and other deliverables as outlined in this document.
Timeline
· EOI Open – Friday 2 August 2024
· EOI Close – Friday 23 August 2024
· Artist appointed – 30 August 2024
· Completion of all deliverables – Friday 27 September 2024.
