Introduction
The Cochrane Integrated Arts Society(CIAS) is inviting visual artists of all kinds from the Town of Cochrane, Bighorn, Foothills, Mountain View and Rocky View Counties, as well as the Stoney Nation to collaborate as members of a non-profit arts collective to display and sell their work in a permanent gallery and or market style space.

Objectives
- To operate and program sustainable and inclusive professional display spaces for local visual artists of all kinds within our community
- To support all levels of artists, from emerging to mid-career to established
- To offer year-round permanent contact point(s) for the public to view and purchase local art
- To provide educational artistic programming for the general public and for artists
- To raise funds for the furtherance of the objectives of the society

General Information
Prior to selection, all art will be subject to jury, a selected group of independent practicing artists and arts professionals who are called upon to provide their expertise. The Gallery Director will ensure jurors are representative of the Alberta arts community, with a balance of gender, cultural background, and stage of career. Individuals are also selected to reflect the art genres of applications received.

A waiting list of artists wishing to register with the Collective will be maintained if there is no available space in the gallery. Displays will be rotated monthly. The number of months that an artist’s work can be displayed will vary with the overall space available and the number of artists enrolled.

Maintaining reasonable operating costs for the Collective depends on the support of significant volunteer time. All members will be required to work at the gallery in some capacity under the direction of the Gallery Director.

Marketing plans will include occasional months with themes (e.g. Ice, Texture, Food, Companionship,  Nature, Dreams, Technology) to encourage the ongoing interest of the public.
