Welcome! We are excited that you are interested in being involved with Art Feeds Chapter Development in NWA!

There are several ways to be involved, if you are just interested and want to learn more about what's happening and how to help, you can skip down to the top two questions of the survey!


If you want to volunteer directly with the students- read on about involvement! In an effort to establish a sustainable Art Feeds Chapter in Springdale, AR, Art Feeds National has partnered with Camp War Eagle after school program to provide 12 weeks of Art Feeds programming for the students of Parson Hills Elementary in Springdale. This programming will begin September 14th and will occur every Monday and Wednesday 3:30-5:30 pm. You can volunteer one or both of those days.

The other option for volunteering is in school during the school day at Parson Hills Elementary, where every student will be participating in mural curriculum once a week, every week for the month of October. Scheduling for this volunteer opportunity is TBD. Mural curriculum is the track of our programming where every student in the school participates in a lesson once per week to design a mural from start to finish. The mural will be completely student inspired and available for the community to see when placed in Downtown Springdale. To become a volunteer educator and be involved in this process you must:

+Have either 500 hours of work/volunteer with children and/or 30+ hours of college credit (or some combination of the two)
+Pass a background check and drug test
+Be available to volunteer for a consistent 2-8 hour commitment (depending on what your schedule allows)
+Attend a 3 hour training session conducted by Art Feeds National on Saturday August 29th, or attend an alternate training which is TBD.

Before entering the classroom, all volunteer educators are trained on the Art Feeds Method and on how to implement the mural curriculum. Please answer all questions honestly.
