Elective Class Conference, 4/16/26, 6:30-8:30 p.m. (In-person at Atlanta Habitat)

Our Elective Class Conference is a fun and flexible opportunity for all Atlanta Habitat program participants to come together, connect, and learn in a relaxed and engaging setting. Participants can choose from a variety of upbeat, hands-on elective classes designed to inform, inspire, and recharge, making learning feel less like a requirement and more like a celebration. Join us for dinner and a chance to win a $75 Kroger gift card! Check below to learn about what each class will cover, and register for the class that interests you most. Dinner will be served from 6:30 - 7 pm. Thursday, April 16; 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. These elective classes are open to all program participants and will be held in person at the Atlanta Habitat main office. Program participants will receive TRIPLE sweat equity for attending. You will receive an email reminder approximately 3-5 days before the event is scheduled to occur.

In this inspiring and practical session, Dr. Malcolm Muhammad will guide participants through the foundational steps of launching a home-based business. Topics will include understanding local regulations, financial planning, branding, and creating a productive workspace within your home.

This session is designed to support caregivers across a wide range of educational experiences. Participants will gain practical strategies and resources to support learning at home, including guidance on homeschooling, tutoring support, and ways to strengthen academic confidence in students.
The workshop highlights how stable housing creates an environment where students can succeed and families can build a strong foundation for generational educational achievement.
