1. Application for Commuter Status 2014-2015

To fulfill its mission as a residential institution, the College requires that all students live in college-owned housing except students commuting from their parents' home address.

For purposes of College policy, commuters are defined as students living with parents or legal guardians. A Moravian College commuter student must live at home with his/her parents or legal guardian, commute from his/her home address on a daily basis, and live within 50 miles of campus.

Being a commuter has advantages and disadvantages: the convenience of living at home in a familiar environment with family members close at hand, sometimes accompanied by a feeling of being out of the mainstream of college life. It may be that commuting students need to plan their activities and involvements even more carefully than resident students to ensure that they receive the benefit of the full undergraduate experience.

To initiate a request to change from RESIDENT status to COMMUTER status for the 2014-2015 academic year, complete this electronic application no later than Monday, February 17th at 4:30PM at which time this application will no longer be available.

Once the application has been received, the College will verify the student's information as well as his/her intention to commute from their parents' home address.

After verification of the information provided in the application, applicants will be notified as to the status of their request on or before Friday, February 28th.

Students who currently have commuter status should not complete this application, as you will retain your commuter status for the 2014-2015 academic year.
