THIS IS AN IN-PERSON TRAINING TO BE HELD AT THE CLARION IN WEST SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS! WE DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE OPTIONS FOR PEOPLE TO REMOTE INTO THE TRAINING.
Join Sera Davidow, Rafael Rodriguez, and Ebony Flint as they offer the Wildflower Alliance's* three-day anti-oppression training Wednesday, October 27 through Friday, October 29, 2021 from 9am to 5pm. This training aims to examine what being a “good” person really means, how to understand privilege and use it for good, effectively owning and apologizing for your missteps, and strategies for interrupting situations where people are saying or doing things rooted in oppressive ways of being and thinking.
As this is only a third run of this new training, it will not only be a learning opportunity for you, but also an opportunity for you to give feedback and help us improve it for the future! Space is limited and applications are required by Friday, September 17, 2021. We will notify you of acceptance or being wait-listed by Friday, September 24, 2021.
WE SOMETIMES HAVE DIFFICULTY WITH OUR NOTICES LANDING IN PEOPLE'S SPAM OR JUNK MAIL FOLDERS. IF YOU DO NOT HEAR FROM US BY SEPTEMBER 24, PLEASE E-MAIL US AT INFO@WILDFLOWERALLIANCE.ORG!
Attendees at this training will be expected to follow COVID guidelines as applicable at the time of the training. (We will update individuals who are scheduled to attend on exact expectations closer to the date, but participants should anticipate some requirements involving masks and distancing.) Food and drink will not be provided, and people will be responsible for bringing or getting what they need while there.
