As you may recall, the GFOA of N.J. was to hold the extension of its Annual Meeting and Election of Officers at the New Jersey State League of Municipalities Conference this week. The Conference was cancelled as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Therefore, we have changed the day to Friday, December 14. A quorum of 50 members is required to conduct business; it is requested that all members join us. As an added incentive to attend the meeting there will be two credit hours offered, one (1) budget credit and one (1) finance and debt management credit, through the course entitled, “The New Interest Arbitration Law: Will Employers Take Advantage of this Law?”

The course will be complimentary to GFOA members in an effort to generate participation for our brief 9:30 AM Annual Meeting. To register for the event please visit our website at Registration is limited to the size of the room. There will be a $65 fee for all non-members.

The location will be at the Jumping Brook Country Club, located at 210 Jumping Brook Road, Neptune Township, NJ 07753, on Friday, December 14th. Breakfast and registration will begin at 8:30 AM, followed by the annual meeting. At 9:30 AM the course will begin and conclude at 11:30 AM. As a voting member your presence is requested.
