Angelo Canna Town Park Priorities & Preferences Survey

Introduction:

The Town of Cairo is developing a Master Plan for Angelo Canna Town Park, located on Joseph D. Spencer Lane. This 35 acre parcel is a popular park in the Town of Cairo with many existing amenities. The Park is highly used by the local residents, as well as, the surrounding communities and the intention is to provide new park features, upgrade existing park amenities, and provide improved circulation within the Park. While the Town does not currently have funds to fully implement these park improvements, this Master Plan is being developed in order to prioritize improvements as the Town plans for future capital improvement budgets in addition to seeking funding to assist in implementation.

These park improvements will need to be accessible, connected, and sustainable. The park design will offer an integrated network of active and passive outdoor recreational opportunities that responds to current needs and preferences, and are easily adaptable to future trends and conditions. The park design will be cost-effective, context-sensitive, and provide a maintainable mix of healthy outdoor activity opportunities for current and future generations of Cairo residents and Park users.
