Human Rights. Real Lives. Real Experiences
Thank you for taking part in the only national mental health consumer Human Rights Survey. Your experiences matter and will help us understand how well the rights of people with lived experience of mental health challenges were respected in 2026. By completing this survey, you are contributing to a stronger evidence base for human rights, dignity, choice, and inclusion.
Who: people who identify as a mental health consumer, have lived experience of mental health challenges, and/or identify as having a psychosocial disability.
What is it about: We're interested in your experiences across all areas of life, including mental health services, healthcare, housing, employment, education, justice, and community participation. We want to hear about both positive experiences and situations where your rights may not have been respected.
Type: most questions are simple Yes/No or tick-box responses
Length: most people complete this survey in 12-15 minutes. The survey does need to be completed in one sitting.
Please read the Participant Information Sheet before starting.
