PROPOSALS DUE MONDAY, APRIL 20 AT 5PM ET

Thank you so much for your interest in presenting at the Alliance for Nonprofit Management conference to be held October 5-7, 2020 in Denver, CO!

The Alliance is the national voice and catalyst for the field of capacity building. We improve the effectiveness of individuals, groups, and organizations who help nonprofits and communities achieve positive social change.

We are looking for a wide range of innovative workshop sessions sharing new, leading-edge content which incorporates some elements of our  conference theme, Changing How We Work: Capacity Building for Social Change.

The people, organizations, and movements that capacity builders support are driving toward social change. In 2020, capacity builders increasingly want to be partners in these movements and not just consultants or coaches. But how do we do that? The 2020 Alliance conference will offer perspectives for new and seasoned capacity builders around how capacity building is evolving to respond to: advancing racial equity, flatter organizational and leadership structures and programs, and services and research that are more directly geared towards promoting social change. The conference will challenge us to bring in different perspectives and explore more diverse ways of tackling problems that build our collective capacity for social change.

We seek well-designed, interactive sessions that incorporate some evidence or research, creative presentation formats, and highly experiential learning that will inspire conference participants to evolve their approaches to capacity building.

Alliance conference workshops are intended for consultants, coaches, capacity building organizations, foundations/funders,  pracademics, researchers, graduate students, and nonprofit leaders who are interested in the field of capacity building. Sessions should NOT be geared to nonprofit staff and board members.

Workshops must be interactive: we want participants to learn, experience the content in fresh ways, and be inspired to evolve their approaches to this work. The format must fit into either a 90-minute session or a double session. We are interested in workshops for varying levels of experience.
Please continue with proposal form to view the preferred workshop topics, although we will consider additional topic areas. PROPOSALS DUE MONDAY, APRIL 20 AT 5PM ET
