Air Quality study

Thank you for your interest in this study.  According to NYC Department of Health, Chelsea and Hell's kitchen experience the third worst air quality in the city. And yet, the air may be even worse at ground level than on testing towers, where the current measurements are taken.

CHEKPEDS is a non-profit coalition advocating for pedestrian safety and quality of life on the West side of Manhattan. Your participation will help us and our elected officials address this issue.
You will spend 10 minutes three times a day for a few days at a given location to test the air with a state-of-the-art "portable air quality monitor" used by labs and universities - yours to keep at the completion of the study.
