Thank you for your interest in Colorado State University's Clinical Trials. Achilles tendon tears are a common problem in people and animals. Many surgical and non-surgical treatment options are available but there is a lack of knowledge about the efficacy of non-surgical treatment options. At CSU, we are evaluating new treatment methods for this problem and are currently researching whether a brace works to help dogs with chronic Achilles tendon problems. This study is designed for dogs with unilateral (one-sided) Achilles tendon tears.
