2018 RHA BH Accessibility Survey

RHA promotes accessibility to services and the removal of barriers for the person served and other stakeholders. This survey is intended to help us identify barriers to services and develop a working plan to promote accessibility and remove barriers. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

Environmental barriers can be interpreted as any location or characteristic of the setting that compromise, hinders, or impedes service deliver and the benefits to be gained. For example, safety concerns regarding office location, lack of sound proof counseling rooms, highly trafficked areas used for service delivery, or lack of furnishing for decor that impact the comfort level of the person served and personnel.

Attitudinal barriers may include but are not limited to: Terminology and language used in the organization, how individual with disabilities are viewed in the community, whether or not the input of persons served is solicited and used by the organization.

* 6. What communication barriers impact service delivery in your program and/or community? Communication barriers may include the absence of telecommunication devise for the deaf and hard of hearing (TTD) and the absence of material in a language or format that is understood by the person served.
